Toastmaters Comments Ten Years Later February 14, 2013.

Ten years ago I visited a local Toastmaster club. I attended a few meetings and became a member on April 1, 2003. I spent five years with that club, ending my membership on March 31, 2008.

For each of those five years the club achieved the top club award, Presidents Distinguished Club. The club members worked as an effective team helping each other to better ourselves.

Because we cared, we achieved our individual and club goals. We accomplished the Toastmasters Mission by staying true to the Toastmaster Vision and true to our own individual values.

Redesign of Newbound, Inc.'s, Website Updated December 12, 2012

My business partner, Marc Raiser, just completed a great redesign of our corporate website! We discussed some of the suggestions our marketing consultant gave us last summer and then Marc dived in for cool results.

Marc wrote the Newbound Software Library (NSL) that created our server that runs in the cloud. He used the Content Management System (CSM) just one of the many capabilities of the NSL to create the website.

Please take a look around on our website and see the new look!

My First Home: The Stony Island Trailer Park Map 1955 January 12, 2012

While on our recent trip to the Chicago area for the Christmas holidays, my brother gave me a pencil map of the trailer park we lived in until 1956. I had it converted to a pdf linked below.

Our trailer was the place my late father slipped into a coma never to recover in November 1955.

Some of the places indicated on the map I remember, others not. It remains a special place to me.

Click here to view the pdf. See where this location is now on Google Maps.

A screenshot of the map is shown below.
