Apollo Moon

For the entire day on July 20, 1969, I watched the TV coverage of Apollo 11's Moon Landing. I have a podcast of the recording I made using my cassette recorder from that date!

In the mid 1980's, my family became charter members to the Cernan Earth and Space Center located on the campus of Triton College, where I was teaching at the time. During the next three years, we met three of the astronauts that walked on the Moon. We will never forget those experiences of talking with them in-person.

In July 1999, the Apollo 11 30th Anniversary of the Moon Landing was celebrated. Neil A. Armstrong spoke about the mission and the continued journeys to outer space. As a commemoration, I create the image on this page.

This image is also available as a high-resolution Desktop.
