A once powerful nation, remembered though an ancient author's words, is regarded as fact by some and myth by others. The idea of Atlantis persists as a place where social and technological achievements worked in harmony to provide its citizens with the best of life.

No such nation exists today and none have existed in the recorded history up to this time.

Atlantis is said to have vanished in a huge cataclysm in a very short period of time. Perhaps it vanished overnight? Maybe its end came at the hands of its own people or maybe by the overwhelming forces of nature. Maybe a combination of both?

All we know for sure is that it wasn't rebuilt over time since. Any real evidence of it is lost except through stories and legends.
