A person described as having a heart of gold is a treasured find in life. As you age you increasingly, if not only occasionally, find someone who fits that description.

Such people go beyond the norm in some capacity to extend kindness or compassion to others. They do so without hesitation, without fanfare, without the expectation of a reward.

I believe people with a heart of gold are what keeps humanity moving forward each and every day. There are never enough people with a heart of gold to go around at any one time, leaving an opportunity for you to play that role on a moment's notice.
