In late August 1969, I purchased a Bell and Howell Super 8 movie camera and projector. I sold them in 1980 after taking many rolls of film. None of those films had sound on them. Around 1991, I had all that film converted to VHS tape. I have converted a few sections of some of VHS tapes to Quicktime and formated for iTouch and iPhone devices.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park is one of my favorite places here in San Diego. I go there often. These October 2002 sequences are just a few of the varied and many scenes of that visit.

Sherry and I went to Old Tucson in Arizona on our 29th Anniversary, April 21, 2002. That attraction is one of the places many movies were made from 1939 on. One of my favorite movies is, Rio Bravo, released in 1959.

There are a number of stuntmen working there and they put on several performances a day. Immediatly after one of those performances, I was asked to video tape the guys. This scene had everyone laughing afterwards. I told the guys I was putting this up on my site, so I hope they get a chance to see it. Thanks guys, for a wonderful day.

In late July and early August 2001, I took a long trip through many of the western United States. One of the places I stopped was at the Golden Spike National Historic Site, near Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a hot dry day on July 30, 2001. It was also the day I drove 740 miles in my 1997 Ford Escort. ;-)

On this same trip mentioned above, I visited Spokane, Washington. While there, I witnessed the Spokane Falls. The state has been suffering from a drought so not much of a show at that time. I think it must be grand when the winter snow is melting in the early spring.

On Christmas Day 1999, we celebrated by going to the South Carlsbad Beach. While I was videoing, I saw these two birds skimming the waves and shot this sequence. I often see these kinds of birds just fly effortlessly, just mere inches from the waves.
