The Glow In Sherry's Eyes -- 03/18/2001 Last night, Dorothy, Sherry and I left home to attend a story-telling evening at San Diego University. Before arriving at our destination, we stopped for some pizza near Solana Beach, CA. The discussion turned to the wedding plans Sherry and I made long ago in early 1973 and then our first several months of living together after our wedding in April 1973. Sherry recalled how I proposed to her, her deliberations whether to accept my proposal, and her decision to accept becoming my wife. She further described our first five months of marriage, living in Wisconsin, in a small cabin without running water. As I watched and listened to Sherry at the dinner table, I saw a glow in her eyes make it's appearance upon her face. For a while, she took me back there to that time when we became one. She spoke with such excitement and enthusiasm about those times. She drew me in with her descriptions of how we were when we were so very young. Sherry is the only person who ever had that glow for me. I haven't seen it from her in some time. It is a great feeling to know it dwells within her spirit still. Don
