To love another is a powerful feeling. Sometimes that love is returned and sometimes not. There are no guarantees in life except the ones you offer unconditionally. When you love, love unconditionally. Stretch as far as you can with your love and you may discover that nothing is beyond reach.

The Inner Truth

The above image, Black Heart is also available as a Desktop Background

Today's song is New World In The Morning by Roger Whitaker, released in 1970.

The recent themed messages here all relate to people forthrightly facing issues in themselves. I know several people who currently are in that situation, I'm sure each reader of this page knows some too. Maybe one of you is in that kind of circumstance yourself. There are times when I have experienced periods of inward reflection. This site is a testament of many of those encounters for me and others.

Today I offer a poem for all of us that have been through trying times. I'll tell a little background first. Until I was nineteen I wrote a lot of poetry, but none of it survived in writing beyond that time.

At nineteen my life changed forever and the motivation to write poems pretty much lapsed. In the last eleven years I found my artistic and writing aspects of my nature and they take dominance over the motivation to write poetry. I am satisfied with that outcome.

I publish this poem because one person in particular I know inspired me to reveal this other part of me here. If it applies to you, then I hope it gives you some insight.

For those possesing a Black Heart then maybe it will bring back a long forgotten memory...

The Inner Truth

When times are tough, the outlook bleak,
Look to your strength within.
The answer is there for you to seek,
Waiting for you to begin.

The path you walk, each measured step,
Brings you closer to your goal.
For each promise given, each promise kept,
Brings peace to your heart, mind, and soul.

When you feel hurt and don't know why,
Life's clouds may feel so near.
You don't have to be ashamed to cry,
Your tears help make things clear.

One day the Sun will shine for you,
In spite of all you now face.
Remember to thine own self be true,
Live each moment with embrace.
