I am a charter docent volunteer for the Leo Carrillo Ranch. I am one of many people, who take pride in the history of Leo Carrillo's time in Carlsbad, California. Most of the other docents belong to the Friends of Carrillo Ranch, an organization that has spent decades preparing the property and raising funds to open the ranch of the late actor. I also found another online resource on the Journal of San Diego History.

There are also pictures of the Grand Opening on August 16, 2003.

On August 9th, I attended docent training and learned about my assignment. I met the other great people involved with this effort and we shared stories and experiences.
