We The People: Redux
![]() Today's song is Blue Bayou by Roy Orbison, released in 1963. As mentioned on my previous home page, April 10, 2009, I attended the Tax Day Tea Party to express my views. It was my first-ever protest against my government. My main reason is to let my elected officials know that they should never become complacent in their office. There were hundreds of protests across the nation on one day to show the various feelings of discontent are widespread. For my part, I held a sign, Power to the People at the smaller protest in Escondido, California. About 25 people attended with signs and U.S. Flags. Countless people driving by honked in support. It was a demonstration of peaceful protest, part of our Constitutional Right for Free Speech. Our nation of about 300 million is a place to live in freedom. There are probably about as many opinions as to how our nation should be managed. No one person has the best answers, it takes everyone to make this a great country. I want President Obama to succeed in his Presidency. I voted for him. As with every one of the presidents in my life, I don't agree with everything he does. When I do, I'll communicate it as I see fit. Change isn't always what is anticipated. Unknown Certainties are always present.

I agree with President Obama's position on this, just as I supported President Bush. Almost as if on this matter Obama is completing Bush's third term. ;-)
Football will never be the same again. :-(
My friend, Bob, sent me information about the dark side of Dubai.
