The recent 32nd wedding anniversary trip to Santa Barbara is now complete. There are four pages of pictures starting here.

I was last in Santa Barbara several years ago. When I lived there in late 1972, I was poor and alone. That experience was difficult in many ways. At that time, I often saw people of higher standing going in-and-out of the, Hotel Santa Barbara when I walked down State street. Watching them reminded me of how they were successful and I was not. Now the years have rolled along -- I'm no longer on the outside looking in.

We had a wonderful time this past weekend. I had fun testing a Segway during the Earth Day celebrations in town. Sherry and I met several people who had also arrived in Santa Barbara by train. They came from other places in our country, but all spoke warmly about traveling by rail.

In the morn' I start off on my much anticipated trip. I'll have plenty of pictures from this upcoming trip too. There are many changes going on inside of me. Some of the answers lie down the road for me this week...
