Holiday Romance

The above image is, Lovers Moment is also available as a Desktop

Today's song is Human Nature by Michael Jackson, released in 1982.

The holiday season is a wonderful time to be in a great loving relationship. For those almost in such a relationship, I hope it blossoms for you both very soon.

For those already established in a loving relationship, renew that love as part of the holiday cheer.

If you're alone then my heart goes out to you and hope that soon any empty part of your life is filled in a loving way.

On my web page where I talk about my high school years, I mentioned Mr. Tomczak. The last time I saw Mr. Tomczak was in June 1977. That was when my friend, Angel Rodriguez and I took him to a Chicago White Sox baseball game and we had a great time together.

I lost touch with Mr. Tomczak after that. I spent years looking for him. But for those that know me, I usually find who I'm looking for no matter how long it takes. ;-)

Yesterday, my friend Bill Artus ran into Mr. Tomczak on the south side of Chicago and called me on his cell phone right then and there. I spoke with Mr. Tomczak and now have his contact information. I'm going to give him a call soon and catch up on old times together.

I have a wonderful story to tell about him that took place in my life on Christmas Day 1968 in the wee hours of the morning. I'll write that story on my web site soon. It's a fitting story for this holiday season.

It's a big deal that AIM is now integrated into Google's Gmail.

I can envision this identity process as being useful.

The pay phone business just took another big hit.

One day I expect cell phones as we know and pay for them today to go away too. We need inexpensive and extensive Wi-Fi coverage along with Voice Over IP phone-like devices as a replacement for cell phones. Then calls to anywhere in the world will cost a small fraction of what it costs nowadays.

Speaking of Wi-Fi, it looks like those chips are using the new IEEE 802.11n standard now. My Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station already has them.

If your in business, don't lose those emails under penalty of law.

A dire data loss prediction for 2008.

The draconian measures that Microsoft unleashes on its customers is amazing. It's been that way for years.
