A Sunday With Sherry
![]() Today's song is True Love Ways by Buddy Holly. Sunday, October 30, 2005 was a warm sunny day here in San Diego. I asked my wife, Sherry to go out with me for breakfast at a local restaurant where they have great food. She agreed and it was the start of a very nice day for us. While eating, we talked about what to do next and decided to go over to the coast and head down to the Torrey Pines International Gliderport. We drove along the beautiful beach highway 101 and took in the sights of runners and bicyclists along the same route. I brought my camera along and took many photographs. Some of them are shown below.

![]() Sherry and I enjoy such trips. In February it will be ten years that we have lived in North County San Diego. The years have gone by very fast. We like to enjoy together a day like we did today to try to slow things down a bit. It worked in a true love way.
![]() As some of you may know, I am the contracted web designer for the Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park web site. I work closely with my friend, Mick Calarco, the Ranch Manager and his staff. We talk about the material and images to be used on the site and then I put it together in a functional and pleasing way. I also work closely with the City of Carlsbad's Webmaster, Greg Wallace, who stitches my code designs into the city's main website, making it look seamless. Be sure to visit the ranch when you have the chance. It's a rare treasure as a fine example of an old California rancho. You can collect your thoughts there in a relaxing landscape and slow down life's hectic pace a bit at the same time. Don
