Urges and Their Fulfillment
![]() Today's song is Ribbon In The Sky by Stevie Wonder, released in 1982. Last Sunday night I went to see the 2009 movie, Amelia at my local Edwards Theater in San Marcos, California shown below.
![]() There were eight people attending the showing. I enjoyed the story. Amelia Earhart was a strong person. She understood who she was. Maybe she reached too far one time too many, but that's who she was. I can relate to that part of her personality when I was her age.
My Facebook friend, Gary, published a new leadership article, Slaying the False Dragons of Leadership Development Criticism. I left my real story in the comment section below his article. Sometimes in the corporate world, there comes a time when you need to demonstrate your true abilities and convictions in defense of foolish perceptions by upper management. Not enough people are willing to prove themselves in such moments. I was! In the years since, I learned how to form better strategies for dealing with corporate perceptions that don't require drastic proof of self. Gary's points and/or my story may help inspire someone who is a leader to make a stand instead of allowing the opportunity to pass them by...
I continually spend time refreshing and upgrading my skills and knowledge to further my career.
