A Common Cold Victim

The above image, Indecision is also available as a Desktop

Today's song is Ready to Take a Chance Again by Barry Manilow, released in 1978.

For one week now I have been dealing with a head cold. The congestion is starting to clear and the throat is not as sore as it has been.

The common cold as it is referred to is an occasional ailment every person endures. We realize we are sick about two days into the cold and remain sickly until its finally over. Some versions of the common cold are deadly as this news article indicates.

With the upcoming flu season, this bout with the cold may be a blessing. It gives my body a chance to create new antibodies along with the ones my body is creating from my flu shot of two weeks ago. In a few more days, my cold will be completely gone and I'll be ready for the Thanksgiving holiday next week.

For now, I'm enjoying the warm breezes blowing through the house and the warmth of the southern California sun when I venture outside.
