Both of my now deceased parents used to often go to see the White Sox play during the 1930's and 40's. They were both very young children when the White Sox last were World Series Champs in 1917.

Now, in 2005, Chicago brings the World Series Championship back home once more.

I have watched every inning of every playoff game they were in this year. I said back on October 11, 2005 that I felt this was their year to win it all. Now they have done just that.

My wife and I are both originally from the South-side of Chicago. Tonight we are far from there in location, but right there in Spirit with all the rest of Chicagoans, no matter where they are in this world.
