The Artist -- 10/29/07

The aroma of fresh cut wood permeates the air as the new form yields to her hands through the jigsaw. Her specialty is animals placed in a simple setting, her artistic vision traced along the blade of the tool as she works the material.

Her inner self is filled with enthusiasm as she carefully considers which child is to receive the finished creation as a gift. Some children received them when they were small and continue to possess them into their teens.

The craft is from a part of her she doesn't readily reveal to most people. Her animal forms are truly from her inner-sanctum and she prides herself in transferring that special part of her to the intended recipient.

The artistic spirit within her is a craving, anticipating the next opportunity to create. She awaits the day she can focus exclusively on her art, when her heart can express what dwells within, on a continuous basis.
